PureHeart: Africa is a life-changing initiative based on the instruction given in James 1:27 which tells us that pure and acceptable religion is caring for widows and orphans. The heart of Oasis Africa is to do just that! Through the facility located in Sierra Leone, we are already transforming the lives of children and the people of Sierra Leone.
WHAT IS OASIS AFRICA
Oasis Africa is located in the heart of Freetown, Sierra Leone. It is a state-of-the-art, multi-level facility with around-the-clock security. The top floors are designed to function as an orphanage, housing the children enrolled in the ministry – while the bottom floor serves as a classroom and worship center to educate students and share Jesus with people living in the region.
In partnership with the local government of Freetown, Sierra Leone, the Oasis Orphanage will house up to 50 orphans with the goal of bringing them to America under a sponsorship program. This program will enhance their education as they strive to fulfill their destiny and show them what it is like to be a part of a family.
In collaboration with the Oasis Cares international outpost, we will not only feed thousands of families living in the country, but will provide food, furnishings, and basic needs to several of the engaged families each week.
Get to know freetown
Freetown is a port city and the capital of Sierra Leone; located in West Africa. It is the largest city in Sierra Leone and has a population of approximately 1.5 million people. It is one of the poorest places in the world – often described as one of the least developed countries. 56.8 percent of the population live below the poverty line. More than 300,000 children are orphaned. They feel the economic contrasts of this country daily. These children have a one in five chance of dying before they reach the age of five and a 57% chance of never learning to read should they make it beyond the age of five. Of the 300,000 orphaned children, there will typically be no less than 50,000 children living, and in many cases working on the streets at any given time.
OUR VISION TO SERVE FREETOWN
The facility is now well underway. We already have ten children who are prepared to live in the orphanage and are making final preparations to open the orphanage and worship center.

We will supply the children housed in the facility with top-tier furnishings such as quality beds and bedding to create a healthy environment for them to thrive. The lower level will make up the worship service and education area of the facility in which we will be able to meet the spiritual and educational needs of the children and surrounding community.
